Wendy's Dance Company - "Give Your Child the Gift of Dance"
About Us
Wendy's Dance Company has been in business for 22 years.  Wendy Attix, owner & instructor,  is a very accomplished dancer and teacher.  She started her training in Lakeland with Dale Bates.  She also danced in Bartow with Mamie Robinson for 14 years.  She has trained at FSU, been a member of the USF college dance team, and studied with numerous famous choreographers.  She has her Bachelor of Arts Degree from USF.  Wendy's offers beginner thru advanced level classes to ages 3 thru adult.  For the more serious dancers we offer a competitive/performance team that competes and performs at various local events.  Membership on the team is based on experience, performance, desire, ability, and behavior in registered classes.  The team has not only finished with numerous platinum finishes but has received top honors - choreography awards, entertainment awards, costume awards, 1st place finishes, etc.  Each student has a chance each year to showcase their talents at our end of the year recital.
Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
Meet Mrs. Jennifer Sjoblom:
Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jennifer began her classical ballet training at the age of 6, under the founding and artistic direction of Moscelyne Larkin and Roman Jasinski of the Tulsa School of Ballet, the training academy for Tulsa Ballet.  Jennifer finds it  a great privilege to not only have been taught but to have been one of the Moscelynes "babies".  Ms. Larkin was one of the "Five Moons"; Native American ballerinas from Oklahoma who gained international fame in the 20th Century.  Upon moving to Florida as a young teen she trained at several schools before joining and studying under Carol Erkes at Lakeland Ballet (now Florida Dance Theatre.) . She owned and operated Sebring Dance Academy for several years before coming back to join Florida Dance Theatre as a company member, teacher and eventually the director for training acedemy.  Jennifer has taught ballet for various schools such as Dance Space in Vero Beach and Vero Classical Ballet.  She was given the opportunity to dance and study under Rogelio and Lydia Corrales of St. Lucie Ballet, performing various roles within their classical productions of the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Paquita.  She enjoyed playing the role of Mrs. Silberhaus in The Nutcracker at Paris Ballet and dance under the direction of JeanHughes Feray and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet with Florida Dance Theatre.  She has performed lead roles such as "Alice" in Alice in Wonderland and "Clara" in the Nutcracker under the direction of Jesse Hammel.  Jennifer has been married to her husband Scott for 19 years and they have two children - Anna and Max.  Jennifer looks forward to not only instilling and teaching solid classical technique but hopes to captivate her students to fall in love with the art of ballet.  "It's an art you will take with you the rest of your life."
Meet Jenna Baine:
Dance has inspired me and made me who I am today.  I started dancing at Wendy's when I was two years old and and made the competitive team when I was six, dancing with Wendy for 15 years.  I loved being a part of a small town studio that draws dancers from the surrounding communities.  This experience has allowed me to make life-long friends, learn commitment, dedication, and hard work habits.  It also allowed me to be on stage performing which is what I love to do.  When I was five,  Wendy did not offer a tumbling class, so I started Competitive Cheer, which turned into a 13-year stretch.  It did not take choreographers long to figure out I was not only a dancer with experience but I was a performer.  I am honored to have been on Brandon Allstars Worlds Teams for five years including Tumbling, stunting, and jumps: however, dance was my forte thanks to Wendy.  I am beginning my second year at South Florida State College, and I am thrilled to be able to work with Wendy this upcoming season.  I am super excited to be able to work with dancers and to share my cheer experience as well.
